the colors aren't bad but the darker colors are darker than the ought to be. Overall Review: for those that have calibration devices I would absolutely advise using them here. just not a case that justifies the additional $700-$800 additional expense. I would recommend but I can see the case being made for the LG variant knowing that ACER's freesync monitors have a reputation for failing or blinking DP ports. I wish it didn't break so soon after purchasing it but being able to use the HDMI port has prevented me sending it back because I really don't have a backup to use with this gone. I had tried just now to get the DP port to work and it caused the HDMI input to begin blinking on and off and thought that now I've really borked it (turned it off and restarted the computer while crossing fingers and now it works *knocks on wood*). now the display port is unusable and blinks reliably. 75hz manages not to be so much more than 60hz that you'd notice so I do wish it could've been a faster refresh rate but with either HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2 there isn't enough bandwidth available to push any more frames at this resolutionĬons: had a wonderful 2 months with the display without any of the blinking on and off and was relieved to think I had dodged that bullet. I wish it came better color calibrated from the factory but it is still very good. Pros: I like how well it fills my periphery. As long as you have good enough GPU that is. If you are not sure which monitors to get because of such issues as Back light bleeding/VA vs IPS panel(ghosting/viewing angle/contrast ratio)/quality control/ and don't mind 75hz instead of 100hz, this probably is the best option for you. I've went through z35p/x34/pg348q and by far this topped all of them. Overall Review: I've researched ultrawide monitor for 2 months and they each had too many pros and cons. I really can't think of the con other than not having gsync and 100hz, which i do not notice significantly. You actually have to put a good amount of force to insert it all the way in.

I believe this only occurs to people using display port for the first time. Thank Newegg putting it up for $1299 CAD!Ĭons: - not a con but for those who are planning to buy this most people's problem not being able to get the signal is because the display port was not all the way in. (having 1080 may be the reason, even though most recommends 1080 ti for 3840x1600) And I really couldn't tell much difference in between 100hz from another monitor and 75hz from this when playing games. people say this isn't so much for gaming, but as I come from using 60hz monitor, this still is great for gaming.
